Caring For Your Resurfaced Area

Before resurfacing

  • IMPORTANT: Make sure the room has been above 65 degrees Fahrenheit for 24 hours prior to application

  • If the surface is too cold, OUR CHEMICALS CANNOT WORK, and your resurfacing WILL NOT be satisfactory!

  • We recommend space heaters in any area where central heating is not available

After resurfacing

  • Area will be dry to the touch (not tacky) in a matter of hours. DO NOT use for 24 hours to prevent serious damage

  • Do not place heavy objects on the new surface for 72 hours (surface will dent).

  • This includes shampoo and soaps for tubs and sinks, and all countertop appliances (toasters, microwaves, Instant Pots, &c).

  • Protect surfaces from heat for 7 days after application (avoid crock pots, use trivets, &c.)

  • Do not use suction cups on the surface, as they can make the coating peel away from the under-layer

  • Avoid chemical cleaners for two weeks after application. Dish soap works best!

  • Abrasive cleaners (Ajax, Soft Scrub, Comet, Bar Keeper’s Friend, &c) will rapidly dull the gloss of the finish, even after curing.

  • Only use cleaning products approved for cleaning resurface coatings.
